What do I do when my toilet is blocked?
There are many products on the market that claim to solve toilet blockages. You have probably discovered by now that they are not as effective as you had hoped, and at this point, you find yourself asking google for some answers.
Perhaps you still have a blockage, or maybe that blockage keeps recurring. Here is some advice from someone who has had 15 years of first hand experience.
The most effective solution is to contact a drain cleaning specialist offering high pressure drain cleaning to clear your line. The reason for this is because often the blockages compact further into the waste water pipework system. Using a kinetic gun or drain rods, only forces the blockage to a point in the line that compounds the blockage.
Besides this, the reason why you would choose a high pressure drain cleaning machine versus an auger ( drain snake), is because a high pressure drain cleaning machine breaks down the entire blockage before flushing the broken parts into the main sewer.
The whole obstruction is removed as opposed to just piercing a small hole through the blockage to give a temporary water flow.
Another problem to consider, is that traditional equipment that plumbers use (like the drain snake and drain rods), usually damage the pipes whilst they clean the drain, since these devices rely on physical force against the inside of the pipework.
However, the first small amount of solid material passing through that pipe will block the pipe again.
So, the most efficient solution is to use the services of a reliable drain cleaning specialist who will be using a high pressure drain cleaning machine.
